The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 9/18/2024

Enhancements:

  • Introduced functionality to consolidate 'shared' items from multiple vendors.
  • The "Edit Import Settings" is now visible on the main page with an added icon.
  • Updated the GPC Codes applicable to Meal Credit warnings.

inTEAM users can now

  • Added the ability to remove a member district from a group.
  • Users can now view memberships under the Group Admin tab.
  • Added functionality to navigate to the member district.
  • Added the option to add a district as a member to a group.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where BA users were unable to generate the SSRS report.
  • Resolved an issue where the red alert on the Menu Planning tab did not initially appear until viewed.
  • Resolved an issue where valid values were being overwritten by blank entries.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 8/22/2024

Enhancements:

  • Default Import Settings menu action introduced.
  • Updated counters on Abort UI to match Complete UI.
  • Renamed Menu Actions for clarity.
  • Warnings now include direct links to resolve issues.
  • Added functionality to allow Item Setup for all users during Software Import

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved issue with critical warning link redirects when multiple warnings existed.
  • Addressed issue where users were unable to inactivate recipes.
  • Fixed issue where warnings were not clearing when items were inactivated.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 8/8/2024

Enhancements:

  • The Data Quality Report has been enhanced to include information about meal credit warnings, providing more transparency and helping users address any missing documentation efficiently.
  • "Meal Credit Documentation Missing" warning has been introduced to improve compliance checks and ensure that all required meal credit documentation is in place.

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved an issue where users could enter '0' for Total Served Portions in Reimbursable Meals. This fix prevents invalid entries and ensures accurate meal serving data.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 7/11/2024

Enhancements:

  • Added an "active/inactive" status to the Stock Item/Purchase Unit record.
  • Allowed "No Match" items to be Completed and set up as "District-Specific items."
  • Added a combo box to display Nonfood items.
  • Updated the Review Item Updates UI for when "No Match" items are encountered when errors are allowed.
  • Added a warning for unmatched items and an action to match them.

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved the issue with linked products not appearing in the list for Product Updates
  • Addressed the issue with software Import not showing Vendor info on existing items. 

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 6/27/2024

Enhancements:

  • Users can now match items to existing items with missing Nutrients
  • "New Source Record" product update type provides a clearer classification for specific data changes.
  • Users can download a template when selecting a file for vendor item import, ensuring data consistency and reducing errors.
  • Added the option to view Local Items during a Software Import

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that truncated menu item names exceeding 100 characters, ensuring complete information visibility.
  • Corrected a bug that prevented product updates from triggering when changes were made to the product image without a visually discernible difference.
  • Improved handling of Software Import updates when the Source SS-Wt value is missing.
  • Resolved a bug that prevented the removal of the "Missing N2F Item" error in Software Import.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 5/16/2024

Enhancements:

  • Users can now view the pricing for Processed End Commodity items directly within the application. This new feature allows for more transparent and detailed cost analysis, enhancing your decision-making process.
  • The Software Import process has been enhanced, providing a more streamlined experience that makes accessing and exporting data easier.
  • The first layer of data checks has been moved to the Data Quality Checks tab for better organization and accessibility.

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved an issue where Product Updates for Nutrients were being triggered even when there were no visible changes.

  • Enhanced UI and functionalities for Vendor Preview & Fix Data.
  • Updated Vendor Item Upload tables for easier navigation and management.
  • Manufacturer Tab has been revamped for better organization and accessibility.
  • Users can now download both original and results data from Vendor Item Upload.
  • Updated the ability to process "OK" items in the Vendor Item Upload process.
  • Renamed "Matched Item" to "Existing Item" in both Vendor Item Upload and Software Import UIs for clarity and consistency.

Bug Fixes:

  • Corrected issues related to setting up GTIN during the Vendor Item Import process.
  • Addressed issues in the Software Import process specifically related to Mosaic software.

Enhancements:

  • Added functionality to reset all meal components during software import.

  • Enhanced settings for data quality checks to improve accuracy.

  • Adjusted SchoolCafe user features specifically for Manu-only users.

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved issue where the standard search box was missing when adding an item from a catalog.

  • Users can now conveniently download the original uploaded file within the Software Import feature, streamlining file management processes.

  • The Vendor Item Upload feature now automatically refreshes, ensuring seamless updates without user intervention.

  • The Admin section is now accessible on GDSN Connect, providing administrators with comprehensive control and management capabilities directly within the platform.

Enhancements:

  • US Foods vendor is now seamlessly integrated as a predefined vendor with established locations, enhancing the user experience in managing vendor-related information.
  • US Foods refreshed weekly to include new product images, providing a more engaging and informative interface.
  • Schoolcafe is now seamlessly integrated into the software import setup, streamlining the process for users and expanding the range of supported platforms.
  • PrimeroEdge export functionality has been enhanced to support the addition of new ingredients, offering users greater flexibility in managing and updating their ingredient databases.
  • Added a critical warning for SchoolCafe users related to Different IU (Item Unit) and PU (Package Unit) names, ensuring a smoother experience and accurate information.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where Vitamin C units were not displayed correctly; it now accurately shows in milligrams, providing users with precise nutritional information.
    Various Bug Fixes:
  • Addressed several other bugs and issues, enhancing overall software stability and performance for a smoother user experience.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 1/10/2024

Enhancements:

  • Implemented a new warning system for changes made to District IDs. Users will now receive a prompt notifying them of any modifications to District IDs, ensuring transparency and minimizing the risk of unintended alterations.

  • Streamlined the software import process specifically for multiple Back-of-House (BOH) software solutions. This enhancement aims to enhance efficiency and simplify the integration of diverse software systems.

  • Improved the export functionality to provide users with more options and flexibility when exporting data related to the Mosaic District ID field

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved the issue affecting the column width of the Brand Logo in the N2Fsearch, ensuring proper alignment and display.

2023 Release Notes

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 11/07/2023.

Enhancements:

  • Modified the search functionality for menu items in the local database for improved efficiency.
  • Added the capability to print out an Item Report directly from within the detail page. Users can now generate detailed reports for individual items, providing a convenient way to access and share important item-specific information.
  • Introducing the Vendor Flyout feature, allowing users to conveniently set up contracts directly within the fly-out. This functionality is available for predefined vendors, streamlining the contract management process.

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved various bugs associated with the software import process.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 10/16/2023.

Enhancements:

  • Updated Titan import files to support the "Preferred", ensuring seamless compatibility.
  • Nutrient values sourced from CNDB records through software imports are now displayed within the Item Detail section.
  • Enhanced Edison and Mosaic files to improve data accuracy.

  • Improved Notes Section in Catalog Management now encompasses the handling of "Invalid GTIN" and "GTIN Not Published" scenarios.
  • Enhancements made to the management of Non-Food Items within the Catalog.

Bug Fixes:

  • Addressed several issues to enhance overall system stability and user experience.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 3/17/2023.

Enhancements

  • Item Set Up Summary has been renamed Data Quality Check, and it has been moved to the main Tools section.
  • Item Change Notification feature to Supplier Updates and have pulled it out to the main Tools section. This change simplifies navigation and makes it easier for users to access critical supplier information.
  • The capability of searching N2F database and adding items directly to a bid.
  • The ability to download the original file and the results file on the Preview & Complete page during the Vendor Item Upload process.
  • Base Menu Module has been renamed to Menu Sandbox.
  • Results file from the Vendor Item Upload process now includes detailed information on any errors or warnings that may have occurred during the upload process, including the type of error, the field affected, and a description of the issue.
  • Enhanced the Inventory Setup tab to provide users with more comprehensive and user-friendly tools to manage, update and correct items.

Bug Fixes

  • Previously, the District Item ID was mistakenly being entered into the District Menu ID field which has now been corrected.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 2/16/2023.

Enhancements

  • Allow the user to delete a corresponding N2F item that has been matched.
  • The capability to modify or alter an associated item.
  • Users can utilize the universal search box to look up an item by its GTIN, brand, manufacturer product ID, or name.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 2/14/2023.

Enhancements

  • New feature allows an Item that is not linked during a Vendor Item Upload to be searched using N2F database, Branded vs Generic. 
  • Ability for co-op administrators to configure multiple locations within their vendors in order to provide their members with the ability to easily access and select Predefined Vendor and Location options.
  • New features allow for the configuration and control of vendor locations, making it easier to organize and access relevant information about the vendors.
  • The ability to check items in the catalog, allowing for easier access, modification, and maintenance of the catalog data.

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected the feature that enables a user to return to the same location in a table after viewing the item details.

2022 Release Notes

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 12/06/2022.

Enhancements

  • Ability to reset allergy values to their original values from the source record.
  • Ability to Add an Item Directly to a Base Menu from the Item Database.

  • Pre-Costing feature for the Base Menu which will allow the ability to receive the Average Cost Per Meal.

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected the Branded search results to display Branded items only.
  • We have improved the catalog to take you directly to Menu Items as opposed to General Information Tab.

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 10/28/2022.

Enhancements

  • New UI for Menu Items and N2F search which makes viewing the data simpler.
  • Members have the ability to view Catalog specific items and add them to their local database.

  • Ability to search N2F by Branded or Generic Equivalent items

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 10/14/2022.

Enhancements

  • New format for the Vendor Item Upload file, which should be downloaded to ensure a proper upload process. 
  • Ability to add a Pre-Defined Vendor and Select Distribution Center/Location during vendor setup. 
  • Preconfigured vendors with contracts set up have the ability to upload Vendor Items to the contract.
  • Inventory transactions can be entered without a Bin
  • Updated Contract Matching to add multiple Generic items

The notes below are all new features and functionality to GDSN Connect as of 9/9/2022.

Enhancements

  • Item Change Notification, review, accept, deny changes made by Manufactures on a product
  • Bid Management, Compare by GTIN on a spec sheet
  • N2F search, updates to the user interface to include Mfr Product ID, Notes, and Contact Them options
