The Item Database in CNCentral is a repository of all of the purchased items that are available for use in recipes and on menus. Located in the upper right corner of the Item Database screen is an "Active Item Count". This number represents the total number of items in the item database that have a status of "Active". Items that have been marked as "Inactive" will not show up in this count. Additionally, items that have more than one purchase unit will only show up as a single item and only be counted once on the Active Item Count. Because of this, there may be a discrepancy in the Active Item Count and the total "Purchase Unit Count".
The Active Item Count is viewable to users of all levels of access (Building Admins, District Admins, and Building Admins with no menu editing capabilities).
