How to Add Catalog IDs in GDSN Connect
Mapping items in GDSN Connect to Edison is a straightforward process once you understand the connection between a Catalog Item in Edison and an Equivalent Group in GDSN Connect. This article will guide you through the steps to add a Catalog ID and ensure your items are correctly mapped.

Automated Setup via Vendor Item Import
If you are setting up items in GDSN Connect using the Vendor Item Import feature, you can assign the Catalog ID automatically. Simply include the Catalog ID in the District Menu ID column of the upload template. This method saves time and reduces manual input errors.
Manual Steps to Add a Catalog ID
If you need to add a Catalog ID manually, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Menu Items Tab

On the left-hand side of your GDSN Connect dashboard, select the Menu Items tab.

Locate the Item

Search for the item you want to associate with a Catalog ID. Once you find it, click on the item to open its details.

Access the Purchase Option Tab

In the item details, select the Purchase Option tab. This is where you’ll manage the equivalent group settings.

Add to Equivalent Group

Click +Add to Equivalent Group.

Enter the Group ID (which corresponds to the Catalog ID in Edison).

Save Changes

Once you’ve entered the Group ID, click Save and Close to apply the changes.
