What is a reimbursable lunch meal?

There are 5 basic components to a reimbursable lunch meal: 

  • *Meat/Meat Alternate (Such as meat, cheese, yogurt, beans/legumes)
  • *Bread/Grains (All grains must be whole grain- rich, such as bread, pizza crust, rolls, cereal, pretzels)
  • *Fruits (Such as apples, oranges, canned fruit, applesauce)
  • *Vegetables (A variety must be offered throughout the week, such as lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, cucumber)
  • *Milk

In order to select a reimbursable lunch meal, you must select at least 3 of the 5 components that are offered. One component selected must be a fruit or vegetable. 

Choosi makes it easy for you, by helping you select items in order to complete a reimbursable meal. If the meal you chose does not have all the required components, you will be redirected back to the selection screen in order to choose 1 or more items at add to your meal.
