Compare Products
The GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is a globally recognized 14-digit product identification number. Using GTINs streamlines the process of comparing products on the Bid Specification Sheet, ensuring accurate procurement decisions.
How to Compare Items by GTIN
1. Access Bid Management
- Navigate to Bid Management from the left-hand menu.
- Click the plus (+) sign in the bottom-right corner to create a new bid.
2. Create a Bid
- Fill out the required fields in the pop-up window.
- Add details in the Bid Description field for clarity.
- Select the appropriate Procurement Category from the drop-down menu.
- Click Save & Continue to proceed.
3. Organize Your Items
- Once items are added, they will be automatically categorized.
- Use the drop-down menu or the arrow next to each category to navigate between categories.
4. Compare Items
- Ensure you have the GTIN of the product you want to compare.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right-hand side of an item and select Compare Item.
5. Search and Compare
- In the pop-up window, enter the GTIN of the item you wish to compare.
- Click Search N2F to conduct a side-by-side comparison using the N2F database.
- If the GTIN is incorrect or incomplete, a red error message will appear below the search box.
6. Mark as Equivalent and Save
- If the item meets your requirements, mark it as equivalent and click Save.
- A number will appear next to the three-dot menu, indicating a successful comparison.
- Repeat this process for all items you need to compare.
- Click Save if any changes have been made.
