USDA End Product Summary

USDA Commodities can include a variety of items including raw ingredients, processed foods, and ready-to-eat foods. In some cases, raw ingredients may be sent to processors to be further processed into ready-to-eat foods. Co-Ops and school districts choosing to divert USDA entitlement towards End Product processors can view End Product Data and Balances in GDSN Connect.

Finding and Reviewing End Product Data

Adding an Item to Local Database

1. Navigate to the Vendors module on the left-hand side.
2. Select the desired contracted vendor and click on the Items tab. Click the + sign and choose [Search Catalog].
3. Locate the desired item indicated by a brown box icon. Hover over the icon for a summary of the End Product Data.
4. Add the item to your local database by clicking the three dots and selecting [Add Item].

Reviewing End Product Data for an Existing Item

1. Go to the Menu Items tab. Search for the item using GTIN, Name, Vendor Product ID, or Manufacturer Product ID. Click on the item to view the USDA Foods Summary End Product Data Schedule.
2. Access the Processorlink by clicking the View Balances hyperlink for additional details.
