Why Choose the Predefined Vendor?
Before delving into the steps, let's understand why selecting the predefined vendor is essential. The predefined vendor serves as the primary source for product data within GDSN Connect. By designating a predefined vendor, you establish a consistent and reliable reference point for your product information. This consistency is vital for ensuring that accurate data flows smoothly across your network of partners, eliminating confusion and errors along the way.
Changing the Predefined Vendor: Step-by-Step Guide
Now that we've established the significance of the predefined vendor, let's walk through the straightforward process of changing it within GDSN Connect:
- Locate the "Vendors" tab on the left side navigation panel.
- Select the Vendor: From the list of vendors displayed, choose the one for which you wish to change the predefined vendor. Click on the respective vendor to proceed.
- Within the selected vendor's profile, you'll notice a "Change predefined vendor" hyperlink positioned at the top left corner. Click on this hyperlink to proceed with modifying the predefined vendor.
- Upon clicking the hyperlink, a drop-down box will appear, presenting you with a list of predefined vendors available within the GDSN Connect system. Carefully review the options and select the appropriate predefined vendor from the list.
- Select Save
